RX-4s are awesome but very rare here. Here are all of Finland’s RX-4s. Both have been imported from Sweden as none were sold in Finland as new cars. The yellow one belongs to my friend.

It doesn’t seem to be joined by any rotary friends but Holdens seem to be there in large numbers.

I had the opportunity to buy one with a 4 cylinder swap but with the original engine included a few years back. It was more than rough, but I still regret not buying it. Haven’t found another one that’s not thousands of kilometers away since then.
Then again, it was a basketcase, and regretting not buying it is probably better than regretting buying it this case.

Sad day but awesome gathering.

According to the statistics there is exactly one Holden registered in Finland. I have seen also a Holden V8 engine mounted in a Porche 928 race car.

In 90's couple local racers raced with a Commodore in one interesting race class. According to vague rumors the body was returned to Australia but the engine might have remained here. It could be the same one that I spotted in the 928.

I have never seen it myself but it’s a grey ‘55 Holden FJ Special 4d sedan. It’s registered as a museum vehicle so apparently it’s in original condition. The owner lives in Asikkala area and is a member of a certain historic vehicle club.

The other Australian vehicles in Finland that I do know of are Falcon XB coupe, Falcon AU ute and one early 50's Chevrolet ute wearing awesome patina. There are also a handful of Pontiac GTOs but no RHD siblings.

That’s a rare bird. These hardtops were sold in NA too, but they are unicorns today, probably only a handful survived.

I have always been amused by the badging on the wagon variant, making sure we know it is a wagon:
